STEP Program

STEP is a 快播视频 community based transition program option for 18-21 year old students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. The STEP Program is designed to provide transition-focused services within a community environment.


  • Increase independent skills
  • Provide opportunities for work experience in integrated settings
  • Increase mobility in the community
  • Improve social and communication skills in all environments
  • Increase daily living/life skills
  • Improve and practice self-advocacy /self-determination skills
  • Develop age appropriate, integrated recreation and leisure skills
  • Develop friendships with same age peers
  • Establish connections with adult services agencies
  • Identify supports needed to transition into community life
  • Provide opportunities for parent engagement
  • Facilitate connections to post-secondary training
  • Increase awareness and connections for community service


The STEP Program is one program that utilizes in two sites:

  • STEP East is located at the Boys & Girls Club building – 1330 52nd Street. 
  • STEP West is located at Indian Trail High School & Academy – 6800 60th Street.

Program Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (at both sites)
  • Friday: Community based placements with STEP staff available for consultation
